1. Planning
Always working closely with local planners, we believe that finding the optimum solutions for our unique sites is an inclusive process not a fait a complit. We listen to the views of local people and always engage in public consultation prior to submitting a proposal. We are promoting tourism while conserving the landscape and finding the most viable solution for our sites going forward.

2. Architecture & Design
Being involved in some of Britain’s most sought after and sensitive beaches and coastlines, our primary responsibility is to preserve the heritage and beauty of these areas.

Areas of Outstanding Natural beauty and historic significance are enhanced by sensitive and dynamic design and architecture. We believe in modern architectural design but this is balanced with the need to respect the local vernacular and landscape character of an area.

Matched with the highest standard and detail of specification, our ability to create living spaces that capture the light and frame unique coastal views is second to none.

3. Construction
We seek to use materials that can be sourced locally and are committed to incorporating proven sustainable energy sources such as air source heat pumps.

4. Sales
Coast Group Sales offer a personal service to each and every enquirer and will always listen to your needs. We believe in giving early investors maximum choice over specification items from start to finish.

5. Decision Making
There is a clear line of responsibility within our organization and you can be sure that when you talk to us you will be talking direct to a decision maker.

Meet The Team

  Rob Dickson

  Chairman

  Widely experienced property developer and entrepreneur with c. 30 years experience in acquiring, financing, planning, developing and selling properties in the UK. Significant expertise in the market for commercial office space, residential and leisure market. More recently has focused on the development of luxury holiday accommodation and founded Coast Group in 2004.

  Passionate about people, problem solving and new entrepreneurial opportunities of all kinds. Loves playing tennis, supports Arsenal, QPR and Spurs (!) and enjoys most sports.

  Sam Dickson

  Development Director (MA Property Valuation & Law)

  Experienced Development Surveyor with 7 years experience with Raven Group and Candy & Candy prior to joining Coast in 2008.

  A love of sport allows him to express his natural competitiveness with himself and others. Enjoys surfing, cycling, football and rugby as well as squash, golf and tennis. A dependable, hard working team member who strives for integrity in all areas of his life and work. Passionate about environmental issues in the built environment and modern architecture. Enjoys eating out, socialising and reading.

  Jesse Guest

  New Acquisitions Director

  For the 5 years prior to joining Coast Group, Jess headed up Business Development at Gamesys, the 2007 Tech Track #1 company. A positive, enthusiastic entrepreneurial minded individual, who loves meeting new people and developing new business relationships.

  A keen sportsman and Spurs fan who enjoys football, Golf, cricket, squash, tennis and snowboarding! Recently married and is father to a beautiful baby daughter Poppy.

  Carole Hayward

  Financial Director

  14 years FD at Roehampton Club, 7 years Deloitte & Touche- working with Coast since June 2006. Involved in the procurement of and responsible for, the controlling of and reporting on, in excess of £17m property development funding since joining Coast.

  Spare time filled by family commitments in the dance world and on the tennis and hockey circuit, with the occasional moment to herself spent in the gym and on the ski slopes, if lucky.

  John Goodman

  Sales Director

  A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors who has over 45 years experience of residential development across a large proportion of the Country. He has worked in the private sector advising or acting on behalf of numerous nationally renowned residential builders and developers as well as smaller individual companies whilst Regional New Homes Director of a National Group of Estate Agents and latterly as an independent Consultant.

  This wide experience is augmented by having spent 5 years as Land and Sales Director with three house builders. His interests are sport, in particular cricket, architecture, history and the countryside.

  Jess Russell

  Customer Care Manager

  Having graduated from Leeds University in 2008, Jess spent a year gaining experience in property and marketing & PR. It was in this year she discovered that her talent lay in marketing and her passion in property and joined Coast Group in September 2009. She has since worked on two developments, managing the marketing & PR of the projects. Jess now works primarily in Customer Care, assisting in the sales process.

  With a passion for the outdoors and for animals, Jess’ spare time is filled with horse riding, tennis or lacrosse. Also enjoys travelling, family time and socialising with friends.

  Olivia Goulden

  Marketing and Development Manager

  Olivia graduated from Leeds University in 2010 with a 2.1 in French and History. She remained in Leeds a further year working in marketing recruitment before completing an internship in PR. In July 2011 Olivia moved to London and joined Coast as a Marketing and Development Executive, working across a number of their projects. Olivia’s role involves designing and implementing marketing, advertising and PR strategies, as well as assisting in the planning, design and build coordination of the developments.

  When possible, Olivia loves travelling to new countries and in her spare time she enjoys swimming, reading, playing badminton and seeing friends and family.

  Sam Barr

  Accountant

  Graduated in Accountancy from Tianjin University of Commerce , China 1993. Moved to UK in 2003 and gained experience with various companies as management/financial accountant. ACCA fully qualified in March 2009 and joined Coast Group in May 2010.

  Enjoys walking, skiing, horticulture, sailing & watching movies (big fan of Leonardo Dicaprio, Matt Damon and Tom Hanks)

  Yuki Sapsford

  Finance Assistant

  Yuki completed a foundation course at the Wimbledon School of Art before attending Central St Martin’s Art college where she studied Textile Design. Bilingual in English and Japanese, she then worked within a Japanese department at Heathrow airport before leaving to start a family.

  Married with 3 children, Yuki returned to work with Coast Group as assistant to the Finance Director in Jan 09. When not being a taxi driver for her family, Yuki enjoys cooking, running and playing poker!

  Tom Boltjes

  Hotel Consultant

  Tom has a distinguished background as an international hotel developer, operator and consultant. Trained in Lausanne and a lifelong school friend of Rob, he was instrumental in the launch of Coast Hotels in 2003. Coast Hotels represents Rob and Tom’s response to the changing expectations of luxury coastal boutique hotels and resorts. As a result of running the hotels for several years to get first-hand experience of the unique locations, we began to learn the intricacies of our trade.

  James Newman

  Marketing Consultant

  James is Coast's marketing expert, having gained 8 years of online and offline marketing experience at Gamesys (Head of Retention and Acquisition Marketing) and China's largest global internet company, Alibaba.com (Head of Online Marketing, EMEA).

  James is now Managing Director of his own marketing agency, Dapper, and ensures that Coast Group and their partners have strategic and operational support with their offline and online marketing.
